Curbing Depression and Suicide among Youths: Islam Guide!

Curbing Depression and Suicide among Youths:
Depression and suicide mission are now rampant among youths and no one is talking about this recently. Talking about it may help people who are passing through hard depression times. A word can motivate someone; and because a single world might change someone's cynical views about life. Many people who had passed through hard time and thought of killing themselves  all have their reasons for coming with such disastrous thoughts. In fact, their rationale for such minfset might not be something much reasonable to us but to them it is bigger than the world.
Depression is caused by social, psychological, emotional and biological factors. Whatever the reasons are, hurting oneself can never be the solution. Allah said: "So verily, with hardship there is ease. Quran 94 V 5".
In the Quran, it is stated that Allah does not put burden on any human more than he can bear. Suratul Baqorah. Every human creation will surely pass through trial because Allah want to test our Eeman if we are true believers. The Problems we are passing through has a limited number of days but for anyone who stead fast  with the  oneness of Allah  his affairs will be controlled by Allah.
The most reasons why people cannot cope with worldly trials are: when the trial arrived, people do think with their emotions instead of using their emotions to think. People who think with their emotions won’t be able to think positively and they also paved way for shaytan to take control over their life; and verily the joy of shaytan is to see human being  in depression so that he will have access to his spiritual life. Such people will become more desperate of taking their life, to seek guidance from what can not guide itself and they will end up being among the losers, rather than face the problem and look for positive ways to get out of it. As for the people who use their emotion to think, they can go back to seek guidance  from Quran and Hadith because they believed for every leave dropped from the tree; it has the knowledge of Allah  in it. They will never give up, never used derogatory language against God, they are very patience, seek for rightful solution, never allow their problem cause them anxiety and never create any problem that does not exit  and they  pray to Allah to rectify their discomfort situation.
Life is given to each person for purpose and we will be tested for as long as we live in this world. We will be tested from our wealth, health, children, our knowledge, even from what we alter (SAY) out to others. So, we can not decide when our purpose in life will finish, anyone who indulged in self killing will be accountable for it and if he knows the greatest punishment of suicide; he would not have killed himself. Allah said; "and do not kill yourselves or another, indeed Allah is to you ever merciful ( suratul an-Nisa v 29)". Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) said: "whoever kills himself with something in this world will be punished with it on the day of resurrection". Suratul baqarah verse 28; ‘’how do you deny Allah and you were dead and He gave you life? Again He will cause you to die and again bring you to life; then you shall be brought back to him’’.
Furthermore, as self killing is forbidden in Islam so as killing of others and euthanasia also prohibited in the Quran; ‘’for this reason did we prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men ; and whoever keep it alive its is as though he kept alive all men; certainly our apostle came to them with clear arguments, but even after many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land.’’
Narrated by Anas bn bin Malik; the Prophet (may the peace and blessing be upon him) ‘’said none of you should wish for death because of a calamity be falling him but if he has to wish for dead , he should say  O Allah keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and let me die if death is better for me ( sahih Al-Buhari book 70 Hadith 575)’’.
In conclusion, we should have it in mind that, ALLAH SWT tested people before us. He tested prophet Ayuba with his wealth for 15 years; he never denied Allah. He tested prophet Muhammed S.A.W. with his children, he lost six out of seven. He tested prophet Ibraheem his only child, he never desist from the right path. He will test you and me for Him to know if we really mean that we believe in him.
